Wooden ones are great, but chances are they won’t match your flooring unless you re-stain them. Even if matching top mount grilles are available, there are still reasons why they are less desirable. The first reason being that they protrude from the floor and could become tripping hazards. The second reason is that they look like afterthoughts when compared to the sleeker, more contemporary flush mount ones. Floors are flat, so should the floor vent covers.
